Where Will My Discovery Flight Go?

Where you go during your discovery flight is up to you! If you want to sightsee over Casper Mountain or fly over your house, you’re in command!

What To Expect On Your Discovery Flight

A Welcoming Experience

Our discovery flight offers a professional and welcoming experience into the world of aviation. Safety and fun are our top priorities, and your instructor will make sure you enjoy this first flight as a pilot.

A Small Airplane

Unlike large commercial airliners you may have flown in, our planes are much smaller. While they may be small in size, they are comfortable, have seatbelts, and a small window you can open.

It's your Discovery Flight!

After you meet one of Atlas Flight School’s instructors, you will discuss some basics and conduct a brief preflight inspection. Then, you’ll learn taxiing, takeoff, and some basic maneuvers. Your instructor has the controls, and how much you want to participate is up to you! Our priority at Atlas Flight School is your learning and enjoyment.

Though our flights are quite scenic, we do not offer “scenic flights.” All our discovery flights are “promotional flight training flights” per federal requirements.
